Introduction

The Online Literary Club
Consider joining our club if you’re interested in English (whether it is writing, reading, or editing) or if you have a knack for all things IT, and you’ll get a pretty cool end-product: a website. The Online Literary Club will involve everything to do with the making of a website with a focus on the writing, editing, and marketing this online magazine.
On the website, we plan to include the following:
- Book reviews
- Movie reviews
- Spin offs/Story adaptations
- Interactive in-website feature(s), like a crossword
- News articles
- Creative Writing pieces (e.g: poems, narrative & descriptive pieces, first-sentence-of-a-novel, etc.)
As a club member, you will be able to have one (or more) of the roles described below and switch between them based off your interest for each edition. Here's what you can do for the club:
- Writing
- Editing
- Designing (layout, etc…)
- Marketing/Promoting (the magazine)
- Handling the technical aspects (establishing/running the website)
What the club can do for you:
-> Creativity CAS points
-> Writing practice (&feedback from editors)
-> (More) visibility for your writing
-> (More) experience with websites, writing, editing, working in a team, etc...
We would occasionally meet up in person (bi-monthly or monthly), but we hope to keep most of the club communication within a group chat for convenience. We still need to decide on a consistent weekday for the meetings, which we hope to officially sort out once we get to know what weekday works best for the majority of club members. However, our first meeting will be held on Thursday the 10th of October.
If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to message Lana or Anjalika (2u students) on Lectio.
